Three food shops fined Tk 8 lakh in Kishoreganj

KISHOREGANJ, Feb 8, 2025 (BSS) - Three food shops were fined Taka eight lakh 
for producing food in an unhygienic process and having false information on 
food packaging at Maria BSCIC Industrial Park in Sadar upazila here this 
afternoon.

Bangladesh Food Safety Authority conducted a drive in the area and fined MM 
Khan Foods (Mak) Taka three lakh, Sugandha Food Products Taka three lakh 
under Section 33 of the Food Safety Act and fined Azhar Bread and Biscuit 
Factory Taka two lakh under Section 32(b) of the Food Safety Act.

Senior Judicial Magistrate Ariful Islam confirmed the matter.

Food Safety Officer Md. Ashraful Islam Talukder, District Sanitary Inspector 
Shankar Chandra Pal along with police, RAB and Ansar Battalion teams assisted 
the operation.
