DINAJPUR, Jan 8, 2025 (BSS)- The team of the joint force, consisting of 
Bangladesh Army and police, in a drive today arrested a man with firearm and 
ammunition from Sonahar Para village under No. 8 Shankarpur Union in Sadar 
upazila of the district.

The operation team, led by Major Tanvir, recovered a locally-made pistol and 
one round of bullets from the possession of detained Shadequl Islam, 41, 
hailed from the village.

Officer-in-Charge (OC) of Dinajpur Sadar Kotwali Police Station Md. Matiur 
Rahman said on a tip-off, a team of the joint force conducted a raid in the 
accused's house in Sonahar Para village around 12:30pm and nabbed Shadequl 
with the firearm and bullets.

A case was filed with Dinajpur Sadar Kotwali Police Station in this 
connection.
