CHATTOGRAM, Feb 11, 2025 (BSS)- Rapid Action Battalion (RAB) arrested a 
fugitive convict, who was sentenced with seven-year jail term, from Sonertek 
area of Karnaphuli Police Station in the city on Monday night. 

The arrested accused was identified as Nurul Kabir alias Nur Dakat, 44, 
hailed from Jangalkhain village under Patiya upazila of the district, a press 
release of RAB-7 said here today.

Chattogram Judicial Magistrate court awarded him seven-year imprisonment in 
absentia in an arms case filed with Patiya Police Station in the district in 
2010.
 
He was handed over to the respective police station for further legal action, 
the release added.
