CHANDPUR, Feb 11, 2025 (BSS) - The joint force in a drive arrested a fugitive convict of two cases from Rampur union of Chandpur Sadar upazila here today.

The convict is Aftab Ahmed, 45, a resident of Devpur Panchbaria village of Rampur Union of the upazila.

On a tip-off, a joint force team conducted a drive at noon and arrested Aftab from the area, said Lieutenant Jabid Hasan, operation officer of Chandpur Army Camp.

Earlier, the court sentenced Aftab to 6 and 12 years in two separate cases respectively.

Later, he was handed over to the Chandpur Sadar Model Police Station.
