BCL leader held over attack on anti-discrimination student movement

HABIGANJ, Feb 12, 2025 (BSS) - Police arrested Iman Ali, 23, former general secretary of the banned organization Bangladesh Chhatra League's (BCL) from Snanghat village under Bahubal upazila of the district at early hours .

A case was registered against Iman Ali with Sadar Police Station over attack on anti-discrimination student movement in the district.

A team of joint force conducted a drive at Snanghat village and arrested Iman Ali from his house last night, said Officer-in-Charge (OC) of Bahubali Police Station Zahidul Islam.

The arrestee Iman Ali is the son of Faruk Mia, a resident of the same village.

He was later handed over to Habiganj Sadar Police Station, said Officer-in-Charge (OC) Alamgir Kabir.

Arrested Iman Ali will be produced before the court at noon today, the OC added.
