Two farmers electrocuted in Sherpur

SHERPUR, Feb 12, 2025 (BSS)- Two farmers died from electrocution while 
working on an irrigation line at a field at Chhattarkandi village in Sadar 
upazila of the district today.

The deceased were Akram Hossain, 45, son of late Latif, and Hanif Uddin, 55, 
son of late Shomez Uddin, both hailed from the village.

Police said Akkram and Hanif came in contact with a live electric wire when 
installing an irrigation pump on a field around 9 in the morning.

They died on the spot, said Sub-Inspector (SI) of Sadar Police Station Md 
Ashraf Ali.
