KHULNA, Nov 6, 2025 (BSS) – The passing-out parade of the 59th batch of Trainee Recruit Constables (TRC) was held at the parade ground of Khulna Police Training Centre (PTC) today.

A total of 546 trainees took part in the colourful parade. Additional Inspector General (Addl IGP) of Police (PBI) Md Mostafa Kamal attended the ceremony as the chief guest, inspected the parade, and took the salute.

Later, he distributed trophies among the best performers. Sheikh Abu Turab was adjudged the best trainee in all-round performance, academy, and field categories, while Md Shakil was named the best trainee in musketry.

Addressing the newly trained constables, Addl IGP Mostafa Kamal said the responsibility of ensuring public safety, maintaining law and order, and upholding justice now rests on their shoulders. 

He expressed confidence that the values and skills acquired through training would guide them throughout their careers.

“The duties of the police go beyond maintaining law and order. They include ensuring discipline in society, combating drugs, managing traffic, protecting women and children, and raising social awareness,” he added.

Khulna PTC Commandant Md Mahbubur Rahman Bhuiyan, Commandant of Jahanabad Cantonment Brigadier General Kazi Sajjad Hossain, Khulna Range DIG Md Rezaul Haque, Khulna Metropolitan Police Commissioner Md Zulfiqar Ali Haidar, senior military and civil officials, university teachers, freedom fighters, and guardians of the trainees were present on the occasion.
