Ctg BNP mourns the death of Abdullah Al Noman

CHATTOGRAM, Feb 25, 2025, (BSS):- Central and local leaders of Bangladesh Nationalist Party (BNP),  Chattogram have expressed their profound shock and sorrow at the death of former minister,  party’s central Vice- Chairman, and valiant Freedom Fighter Abdullah Al Noman. 

In a joint condolence message, BNP standing Committee Member Amir Khasru Mahmud Chowdhury , Chattogram  divisional organizing secretary Mahbuber Rahman Shamim, divisional assistant organizing secretary Harun Or Rashid and Barrister Mir Md Helal Uddin, city unit convener Ershad Ullah and member secretary Nazimur Rahman said the late leader Abdullah Al Noman was an honest, modest and a politician with uncompromising and strong  principles.  

He became prominent, people-oriented national politician from grassroots level politics by imbued with the spirit of the Liberation War in 1971. He worked devotedly and sincerely for   greater welfare of the people and the country throughout his life, said the condolence message. 

“Late Noman had played a great role in the movements for restoration of  democracy and to establish and popularize ideology of the party among the masses across the country since founding of BNP” the message said . 

The leaders said late politician Noman always stood beside  the distressed and deprived people, raised voices for them to establish their rights. His leadership quality, sagacity and affection for the commoners will remain a unique example in the political history of the party. 

They fondly recalled his enormous contributions for the country and nation, the leaders said the vacuum, created  in national politics following the demise of such leader like Abdullah Al Noman will never be filled easily. 

Ctg BNP declares 3-day  mourning programme 

In another press release, BNP city unit has announced a 3-day mourning programme at the death of party Vice -Chairman Abdullah Al Noman. 

The programmes include  Doa mahfil, wearing of black badges and Khatme Quaran  at each ward and units across the port  city . 

As part of the programme, a doa mahfil was held at the Mosque besides the party’s Nasiman Bhaban office after Johr prayer today. 

A special prayer was offered seeking divine blessings for  eternal peace   of the departed soul. 

BNP city unit leaders including convener Ershadullah, Shamsul Alam, Abul Hashem Bakkar, Kazi Belal Uddin, Yasin Chowdhury Liton, Ahmedul Alam Russel and Shawkat Azam Khawaza, among others,   attended  doa mahfil.
