Minor girl drowns in Jamalpur

JAMALPUR, Feb 26, 2025 (BSS) - A two-year-old girl drowned in a water-filled bucket in Bakshiganj upazila here this morning.

Officer-in-Charge of Bakshiganj Police Station Khondokar Shaker Ahmed said Achhia Akhter, daughter of Ismail Hossain, was playing near a tube well at Daspara village of the upazila and suddenly fell into a water-filled bucket there inadvertently.

She was rushed to Bakshiganj Upazila Health Complex, where the attending doctor declared her dead.
