2 held with 47-kg ganja in Kurigram

RANGPUR, April 16, 2025 (BSS) - The Rapid Action Battalion (RAB)-13 arrested two presumed drug traders with 47 kilograms of ganja from the eastern side of the Dharla Bridge under Sadar upazila of the district on Tuesday night.
 
"Acting on a tip off, an operational team of RAB-13 conducted a raid and seized the huge quantity of smuggled ganja from a truck and nabbed the two persons from the spot at around 11:10 pm," said a press release issued here today.
 
The detainees are identified as Md Sekul Hawlader, 40, resident of Shibganj upazila and Md Abdul Alim, 28, resident of Rajarhat upazila.

"The elite force handed over the arrested persons with seized contraband drugs to Kurigram Sadar police station for further legal action," the release added.
