War on Gaza: Physically impaired people observe silent protest in Mymensingh

MYMENSINGH, April 17, 2025 (BSS) - Speech and hearing-impaired individuals in Mymensingh staged a silent protest on Thursday against the ongoing genocide in Gaza.

They expressed their anger against Israeli crimes and solidarity with the Palestinian people using their own language.

Organized by the Bangladesh National Association of the Deaf, the human chain took place at Ganginarpar intersection.

Though voiceless, the protesters conveyed powerful messages through placards and sign language, calling for justice and global action against Israeli atrocities.

From the human chain, they demanded international trial for Israel, urged the UN to revoke its membership, and called on the Muslim world to unite in support of Palestinians. They also encouraged boycotting Israeli products as a first step in resistance.

Bangladesh National Deaf Association’s Mymensingh leaders Fazlul Haque and Tapon Kumar Das were present at the human chain, among others.
