BAGERHAT, April 19, 2025 (BSS) - Bangladesh Coast Guard and Bangladesh Navy during a joint operation arrested two dacoits of a bandit gang with firearms from the Sundarbans last night.
The detainees are Al Amin and Rezaul Karim Babu, two active members of Karim Sharif-led dacoit gang in the area.
On information, the joint force apprehended Al Amin and recovered a single barrel rifle, one round live bullet and six rounds of empty cartridges from his possession in Adachai forest office area, Cast Guard media officer lieutenant commander Siam-Ul Haque told BSS.
However, other accomplices fled the scene upon sensing arrival of the law enforcers.
Based on information provided by Al Amin, police arrested Reaul Karim Babu, another member of the Karim Sharif dacoit group.
