CHANDPUR, April 19, 2025(BSS) – The 18-day long Baishakhi Fair-‘25 that began with the participation of the women entrepreneurs at the central Shaheed Minar premises is getting momentum day by day.

The fair attracted huge crawd especially women and children from afternoon to midnight every day.

The fair was decorated with whirligig (Nagordola), doraemon trenson and different type of rides side by side with the items of the women entrepreneurs.

The sales of the fair have also been increased by this time that has encouraged the women entrepreneurs of the district to go ahead.

A total of 38 stalls were set up at the fair began on April 12 under the auspices of Chandpur Women Chamber of Commerce and Industries with the help of the District administration.

Deputy Commissioner (DC) of Chandpur Mohammad Mohsin Uddin inaugurated the fair. Founder president of the women chamber Munira Akhter and its other executives were also present at that time.  

The BSS Correspondent while visiting the fair ground on Friday afternoon saw that many people gathered at the multi-coloured fair premises where those stalls were equipped with many items attractive for the women and children.

District administration has enforced necessary scurity arrangements to maintain law and order at the fair.
