GOPALGANJ, April 26, 2025 (BSS) - A mobile court in a drive seized one metric
ton of polythene bags, which is declared harmful to the environment, and
realised Taka 5,000 as fine from a house of the district today.

The mobile court led by Executive Magistrate Md. Russell Munshi conducted the
drive at Gobaragram under Sadar upazila of the district this afternoon and
seized the polythene bags from the house.

The market value of the polythene bags are about Taka 2.50 lakh.

Later, the seized polythene bags were burnt and destroyed.
