Narail, April 28, 2025 (BSS) - National Legal Aid Day was observed in a befitting manner in the district today aiming to ensure the rule of law, fundamental human rights and justice for everyone.

This year's theme of the Day is "There is no joy in conflict, make a compromise, brother, Legal Aid is by your side, no need to worry."

Senior District and Sessions Judge Sharmin Nigar inaugurated the programme by releasing pigeons on the court premises at 9:00am. A colourful rally was paraded the main streets of the district and concluded on the district Shilpakala Academy premises.

Following the rally, a discussion organized by the District Legal Aid Committee was held at the Shilpakala Academy auditorium.

Chairperson of the District Legal Aid Committee and Senior District and Sessions Judge Sharmin Nigar chaired the discussion, while Deputy Commissioner (DC) Sharmin Akhter Jahan, Chief Judicial Magistrate Md. Hadiuzzaman, Woman and Child Abuse Prevention Tribunal Judge Mahmuda Khatun, Senior Assistant Judge and District Legal Aid Officer Md. Anwarul Islam, and Additional Superintendent of Police Md. Ashraful Islam were present at the discussion.
