JAMALPUR, April 28, 2025 (BSS) - National Legal Aid Day was observed today in a befitting manner in the district.

Marking the day, District Legal Aid Committee organized various programmes including rally, discussion, the best panel Lawyer award distribution, client-lawyer meeting and documentary film screening.

Acting Chairman of the District Legal Aid Committee and Additional District and Sessions Judge Md Jahangir Alam inaugurated the programmes by releasing balloons and pigeons at the District Judge Court premises this morning.

A rally, participated by judges, judicial magistrates, officials of the district and police administration, jail authorities, NGO activists, lawyers and journalists, was brought out from the court premises. The rally paraded the main roads of the district.

Following the rally, a discussion was held at the Jagannath-Sohel memorial auditorium of the District Judge court.

The meeting was moderated by Senior Assistant Judge and Member Secretary of the District Legal Aid Committee Mohammad Al Mamun.
