KHAGRACHARI, April 28, 2025 (BSS) - The National Legal Aid Day 2025 was observed here in the district in a befitting manner today, promoting the rule of law, fundamental human rights and justice for all.

To mark the day, a colorful rally was brought out that moved through different roads in the district town in the morning.

Later, a discussion was held at the district judges' court hall room.

Additional District and Sessions Judge and acting President of the District Legal Aid Committee Mohammed Mostain Billah presided over the discussion.

Women and Children Repression Prevention Tribunal Judge Md. Azizul Haque attended the discussion as the chief guest.
Speakers at the discussion stressed the government stands by the poor with free legal assistance.

Notably, the Legal Aid Committee provides free legal support to insolvent to pursue their cases.

Deputy Commissioner ABM Iftekharul Islam and Chief Judicial Magistrate of Khagrachari Md Noman Moinuddin attended at the discussion, among others.
