Cheques of Tk 1.58cr distributed to 316 patients in Chandpur

CHANDPUR, April 29, 2025 (BSS) - Cheques of Taka 1.58 crore were distributed 
today among 316 patients suffering from various chronic diseases including 
cancer in the district as part of a one-time financial grant.

Deputy Commissioner (DC) Mohammad Mohsin Uddin handed over the donation 
cheques to the patients at a function held at the conference room of the 
Deputy Commissioner's Office this afternoon. 

Deputy Director of the District Social Services Office Nazrul Islam said that 
as part of the ongoing activities of the government, cheques are being 
distributed to 210 out of 316 people here today. The rest were paid through 
Electronic Fund Transfer (EFT) to the bank. 

The patients have been suffering from cancer, kidney ailment, liver 
cirrhosis, stroke, congenital heart disease and thalassemia.
