Former AL MP's accomplice arrested in Narail

NARAIL, April 30, 2025 (BSS) - The law enforcers arrested a close aide of former Awami League (AL) lawmaker here Kobirul Haque Mukti conducting a drive at Dariaghata village under Purulia union of Kalia upazila in the district early today.

The joint force apprehended Sabuj Molla, 35, son of Fosiyar Rahman Molla, carrying out the raid on his village home responding to the secret information, said Shah Dara Khan, Officer-in-Charge (OC) of the District DB Police.

"Molla was accused of 13 separate cases and is known to be closely associated with former MP Mukti," the OC stated.

During the raid, the law enforcement agencies recovered a cache of weapons including seven locally-made sharp weapons (ramdas), ten spears (ballams), hockey sticks, numerous helmets, and a large number of caps and T-shirts inscribed with Mujib.
