Two shops fined in Munshiganj

MUNSHIGANJ, April 30, 2025 (BSS)- Two shops, in a drive, were fined Taka 
20,000 for producing food items in unhygienic conditions at Dighirpar Bazar 
in Tongibari upazila of the district today.

The National Consumer Rights Protection Directorate (NCRPD) conducted the 
drive, led by its District Office Assistant Director Asif Al Azad, in the 
area and fined Taka 15,000 to "Chhoa Ice Cream Factory" for preparing ice-
cream in a dirty and unhygienic environment and selling or packaging their 
products without proper expiry dates.

In the drive, "Ashraful Oil Mill" in the Bazar was fined Taka 5,000 by the 
mobile court for manufacturing and selling substandard mustard oil.

Tongibari Upazila Sanitary Inspector Md. Abdullah Al Mamun was present during 
the drive.
