NARAYANGANJ, May 1, 2025 (BSS) - Three men sustained burn injuries this morning after a gas line exploded at a textile mill in the Kazi Para area of Rupganj upazila in the district.

The injured were admitted to the emergency unit of the National Institute of Burn and Plastic Surgery.

The incident occurred around 8:00am at Manju Dyeing and Textile Mills in the Kazipara area of Rupsi, said Abdullah Al Arefin, Deputy Assistant Director of Narayanganj Fire Service and Civil Defence.

The injured are accounts officer of the factory Saiful Islam, 20, security personnel Kabir Hossain, 45, and Hannan, 52.

According to the factory authorities, just after the night-shift workers left the premises, excessive gas pressure in the RMS room of the Titas gas line caused a wall to collapse and sparked a fire that left three men burned.
