Man dies from electrocution in Ctg

CHATTOGRAM, May 7, 2025 (BSS) - A man was killed after being electrocuted while setting up an electric water pump at Lohagara upazila in the district this morning.

The deceased was identified as Khorshed Kamal, 33, son of Abul Bashar of Padua Forest Office area of the upazila.

According to local police, Khorshed was reportedly installing the motor to draw water from a pond when the incident occurred. He lost consciousness on the spot after coming into contact with electricity.

Locals rushed him to the Lohagara Upazila Health Complex, where doctors declared him dead.
