103 July-Fighters receive grants in Munshiganj

MUNSHIGANJ, May 7, 2025 (BSS) – The Ministry of Liberation War Affairs today distributed financial grants among 103 C-category fighters of July mass upsurge in Munshiganj.

The distribution ceremony took place in the conference room of the Deputy Commissioner’s office this morning.

Munshiganj Deputy Commissioner Fatema-tul Jannat handed over checks of Tk 100,000 to each of the recipients on behalf of the ministry.

Senior government officials and family members of the July fighters were present.

Speaking at the event, the Deputy Commissioner said the financial assistance is provided in accordance with government policy to support those who were injured during the upsurge. 

“It is not a mere assistance, rather it is an acknowledgement of their contribution too,” she said, adding, “The nation will keep them in memory forever.”

She also mentioned about a plan to publish book based on the memories, experiences of the local fighters of July mass upsurge. 

At the event, July-Fighters Biplob Hossain and Umme Habiba shared their thoughts with the audience.
