CHATTOGRAM, May 7, 2025 (BSS) - A team of district Detective Branch (DB) Police today detained an accused, who along with another one escaped from the police custody last week, from Launch Terminal area under Munshiganj district.

The fugitive Anowar Hossain had fled while he was get into a jail-bound police van at Ctg court building premises after police was producing him before a court, police said.

The fugitive Anowar has been accused in a case filed with Sitakunda police on charge of his involvement in drug peddling.

Earlier, police arrested another fugitive Iqbal Hossain Emon, who along with Anowar escaped from police custody from Tulatali area under Khulshi thana in the city on April 30 night.

He has been accused in a murder case filed with Sitakunda police of the district.
