AL leader Faruk arrested in Gaibandha

GAIBANDHA, April 09, 2025 (BSS) - Police arrested Advocate Faruk Ahmed Prince, law affairs secretary of the Awami League’s district unit, from his residence at Sarker Para here in the town on Thursday night.

Advocate Prince is one of the unidentified accused in a case filed over allegedly torching BNP's party office in the town during the 2024 July Uprising, said Sadar Thana Police Station officer-in-charge Shahinul Islam Talukder.

On information, one of our teams raided his home on Thursday night and detained him, he said.
