One killed, two injured in Khagrachari road accident

KHAGRACHARI, June 11, 2025 (BSS) - A woman was killed and two others were injured in a road accident in Birashtila area of Tabalchari in Matiranga upazila of the district hre today.

The deceased was Pormila Thripura, 40, wife of Guja Thripura of Maichchora area of the upazila.

The accident occurred when the driver lost control over of the transport they were riding and fell into a roadside ditch.

Pormila died on the spot while police rescued two others in injured condition, who were later admitted to local hospital.

Police also seized the vehicle. But its driver managed to escape.
