JAMALPUR, June 25, 2025 (BSS) - A human chain was formed this afternoon at Islampur Bazar Railway Station in the district, demanding renovation of the Dhaka-Dewanganj railway line.
Islampur upazila and Poura units of BNP organized the programme under the banner of Islampur Unnayan Forum.
Former Cabinet Secretary and BNP Chairperson's Adviser ASM Abdul Halim attended the programme as the chief guest.
Speakers at the human chain also urged the authorities to extend the route of the Bijoy Express train up to Dewanganj Bazar Station.
People from all walks of life took part in the programme.
