NETRAKONA, June 25, 2025 (BSS) - A construction worker died after being electrocuted at Bishnupur Mohsinia Dakhil Madrasa building in Kharnoi union under Kalmakanda upazila of the district today.
The deceased was Md. Moqaddas Ali, 35, son of Abdul Jabbar of Bagmara village in Narayanpur union under Kachakata Police Station in Kurigram district.
Moqaddas came in contact with an electric wire while he was working an under construction building and fell down from the four-storey building.
Locals rescued him and sent to Kalmakanda Upazila Health Complex where the on-duty doctors declared him dead.
Sub-Inspector (SI) of Kalmakanda Police Station Babul Hasan confirmed the matter.
