CHATTOGRAM, June 25, 2025 (BSS) – The port city has reported nine more Covid-19 case out of 179 tests in the last 24 hours in the district.

With these new cases, the total number of Coronavirus cases in Chattogram  reached  at 99 in the past 17 days, according to Dr. Jahangir Alam, Civil Surgeon of Chattogram.

He mentioned that Coronavirus tests are currently being carried out in 11 different laboratories including Chattogram Medical College Hospital (CMCH) RT-PCR lab.

Currently, 77 infected patients are undergoing treatment at various designated hospitals here.

Of the total 99 corona infected people, 88 are residents of the port city and the remaining 11 are the residents of different upazilas. 
Six people have died in Chattogram district.

Civil Surgeon Dr. Jahangir Alam Chowdhury said that the Health Department has taken all out measurers to prevent the outbreak of corona infection. 

He urged people from all walks of life to avoid crowds and wear masks.
