CUMILLA, June 25, 2025 (BSS) - A college student was killed in a road accident in Charbakar area of Debidwar upazila of the district this afternoon.
The deceased was Saidul Islam, 25, a first-year honors student of Cumilla Victoria College and son of Nabiullah of Kangshnagar village in Burichang upazila of the district.
The accident took place on the Cumilla-Sylhet Highway when a speeding motorcycle hit a roadside tree as its rider lost control of the bike. The bike rider died on the spot, said Parvez Ali, Officer-in-Charge of Mirpur Highway Police Station.
