One killed in Sylhet road accident

SYLHET, July 5, 2025 (BSS) - A person was killed and 11 others were injured in a road accident at Kurabazar in Osmani Nagar upazila on the Dhaka-Sylhet highway today.

The deceased was Raju, 26, of Nagardia village of Nagarkanda upazila of Faridpur district.

The accident occurred when two passenger buses of 'Ena Paribahan' and 'Unique Paribahan' collided head-on in the area, leaving 'Unique Paribahan' helper Razu killed on the spot.

Highway Police's Sylhet Control Room confirmed the incident.

Eleven passengers, including drivers of the two buses, were injured in the incident.
