Three more Covid-19 cases reported in Ctg

CHATTOGRAM, July 6, 2025 (BSS) – Three more individuals have tested positive for Covid-19 in the last 24 hours out of 136 individuals tested in the city and district.

With these new cases, the total number of Coronavirus cases in Chattogram has reached 178 in the past 25 days, according to Dr. Jahangir Alam, Civil Surgeon of Chattogram, who spoke to BSS.

Dr. Jahangir Alam mentioned that Coronavirus tests are currently being conducted in 11 different laboratories including the Chattogram Medical College Hospital (CMCH) RT-PCR lab.

Currently, 81 infected patients are undergoing treatment at various designated hospitals.  

Out of the total 178 infected people, 163 are residents of the port city and the remaining 15 are residents of different upazilas. So far, seven individuals have died in Chattogram district.

Civil Surgeon Dr. Jahangir Alam Chowdhury said that the Health Department is prepared to prevent Corona infection and urged people from all walks of life to avoid crowds and wear masks.
