Looted firearm, ammunition recovered in Rajshahi

RAJSHAHI, July 7, 2025 (BSS) - Members of Rapid Action Battalion (RAB) recovered a looted firearm and a round of ammunition from an abandoned spot in the Tikapara area under Boalia Police Station in the city last night. 

Acting on a tip-off, a RAB team conducted a drive in the area and recovered a foreign-made pistol, a magazine, and one round of bullet.

According to RAB sources, miscreants had looted 164 firearms from various police stations, outposts, and boxes of Rajshahi Metropolitan Police (RMP) during the Anti-Discrimination Student Movement last year.

So far, 148 of the looted firearms have been recovered, the sources added.
