NARAIL, July 13, 2025 (BSS) - Two children drowned in a pond at Uttar Khashial village under Kalia upazila of the district on Saturday evening.

The deceased were Shakib Sheikh, 5, son of Zakat Sheikh of the same village and his cousin Manik Islam, 4, son of Ariful Islam hailed from Barishal district. 

They were playing beside the pond near their house and suddenly fell into the water and drowned, police said.

Officer-in-Charge (OC) of Naragati Police Station Md. Ashiqur Rahman confirmed the matter.
