One killed, 10 injured in Magura road crash

MAGURA, July 13, 2025 (BSS) - A man was killed and 10 others were injured in a head-on collision between a bus and a rickshaw van in Alamkhali Ramnagar area of Sadar upazila today.

The deceased was identified as van driver Sagar Mollah, 25, son of Awal Mollah, a resident of Gauricharanpur village in Sadar upazila.

The accident occurred around 11 am when a bus of 'Golden Line Paribahan' collided head-on with a rickshaw van and fell into a roadside ditch, leaving the van driver dead on the spot and 10 other bus passengers injured, said Mahbubur Rahman, sub-inspector of Ramnagar Highway Police Station. 

Locals rescued the injured and admitted them to Magura and Jhenaidah Sadar Hospital.
