FENI, July 13, 2025 (BSS) - A two-year old boy drowned in a pond at Mamarizpur village under Daganbhuiyan upazila of the district on Sunday morning.

The deceased was Washir, son of Khaled Sinha Russell, a resident of the village.

Police and family sources said Washir was playing by the side of a pond near their house around 10 am, when he suddenly slipped into the pond water and drowned. 

He was rescued and sent to Daganbhuiyan Upazila Health Complex, where the on-duty doctors declared him dead.
