MEHERPUR July 14, 2025 (BSS) - The construction works of "July Shaheed 
Smritistambh" has been inaugurated in Meherpur. 

Deputy Commissioner of the district Sifat Mehnaz unveiled the construction 
work's nameplate of the memorial at the Meherpur Government College 
intersection around 10 am today.

Meherpur Government College Principal Professor Dr. Nazrul Kabir, Public 
Works Department Executive Engineer SM Rafiqul Hasan, Civil Surgeon Dr. SM 
Abu Sayeed, Additional District Magistrate Tajwar Akram Sakapi Ibne Sajjad, 
Additional Police Superintendent Jaminur Rahman, LGED Executive Engineer 
Shakhawat Hossain, Sadar Upazila Election Officer Khairul Islam, Information 
Officer Abdullah Al Mamun, District Primary Education Officer Ruhul Amin, 
District BNP Member Secretary Advocate Kamrul Hasan, District Jamaat 
Political Secretary Kazi Ruhul Amin, Anti-Discrimination Student 
Representatives Khandaker Muiz Uddin and Tamim Islam, among others, were 
present.

The Public Works Department (PWD) will construct the July Martyrs Memorial at 
a cost of about Taka 14 lakh.
