One held with 1,965 Yaba tablets in Nilphamari

RANGPUR, July 19, 2025 (BSS) – Rapid Action Battalion (RAB)-13 arrested an alleged drug peddler with 1,965 pieces of Yaba tablets from village Kolabagan under Saidpur upazila of Nilphamari district today.
 
Acting on a tip-off, an operational team of the Crime Prevention Company-2 of RAB-13 from Nilphamari camp conducted a raid in the village and arrested the man with the contraband Yaba pills at 9:05 am, a press release said this afternoon. 
 
The detainee is Md Khokan Mia, 55, son of late Mozaffar Ahmed of village Uttar Shollakiya under sadar police station of Noakhali district.
 
After filing a case in this connection, the elite force handed over the arrested person to Nilphamari's Saidpur police station, the release added.
