DMP inaugurates Public Order Management training of trainers' course

DHAKA, Aug 17, 2025 (BSS) - The inaugural ceremony of the Public Order Management Training of Trainers (ToT) Course was held today at the Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP) Training Academy, Rajarbagh here.

The training course is being organized by the PR & HRD Department of the DMP which is expected to play an important role in enhancing the professional skills of police members and implementing modern methods in public order management.

A total of 40 police members from Deputy Police Commissioner to Assistant Sub Inspectors (ASIs) working in various departments of the DMP are taking part in the training course.

The main objective of this training is to create skilled trainers in public order management. 

These trainers will later provide training to about 31,000 police members of DMP in phases. 

Through the training, police activities will be made more up-to-date to maintain the normal life of the public and ensure the safety of life and property.

DMP Joint Commissioner (Training) Sultana Nazma Hossain was present as the chief guest while Joint Commissioners (Training) Md. Abul Kalam Azad and Muhammad Saiful Islam were present as special guests. 

DMP Deputy Commissioner (Welfare and Force) Rawnak Alam presided over the programme.

At the programme, Sultana Nazma Hossain highlighted the importance of training in public order management and advised the trainees to effectively use the knowledge gained from this course in their respective workplaces.

 The special guests discussed the issue of enhancing the skills of police members through training and strengthening the role of the police in serving the people.
