RAB recovers arms and drugs from Dinajpur border

DINAJPUR, July 19, 2025 (BSS) - Rapid Action Battalion (RAB) today recovered a foreign revolver with five round of bullet and huge drugs from a bordering village under Sadar Upazila of the district.

Senior Assistant Director of RAB-13 Additional Superintendent of Police Biplob Kumar Goswami told journalists that acting on a tip off, they raided a house at Kanok Kuri village of Komolpur union under Sadar upazila here this morning.

During the raid, the RAB team recovered a foreign revolver loaded with five round of bullet, 185 pieces of contraband Yaba tablets, 17 bottles of foreign liquor and three ampoules of drug injections from the house of Md Sagor Babu (22), son of Md Anwar Hossain of the village. 

The accused Sagor Babu however managed to flee away from the spot sensing the presence of RAB personnel. The RAB official said, adding they have been trying to nab the accused.

The RAB officials later filed two separate cases in connection with the recovery of the arms and ammunitions and drugs with Sadar Thana.
