3 drug peddlers arrested with 22-gram heroin from Rampal

BAGERHAT, July 19, 2025 (BSS)- The joint forces have nabbed three alleged drug traders from Adaghat village under Rampal upazila and seized heroin, cash money and other belongings from their possessions last night.

Major Imrul Kayes, commander of 42 field regiment artillery of Rampal camp today told reporters that acting on a tip off they raided a house and arrested three drug traders with 22 grams of heroin and cash amount of Taka 1,99,330.

The team also seized four android phones, a button mobile set, a weighing machine, a blank page of cheque book, one Yamaha motorcycle, 1000 pieces of forged currency and one pair of ear ring from the house.

The arrested drug traders were identified as Baizid Hassan Rabbi, 22, son of Ashiquzzaman Tomas of Adaghat village, Rabiul Islam Raju, 34, son of Zihad Sheikh and Morsalin Sheikh, 23, son of Abul Kalam Sheik of the same village.

The arrested persons were later handed over to Rampal Police along with the seized items. A case has been filed with Rampal Police under drug control act in this connection.
