MYMENSINGH, July 26, 2025 (BSS) - An oath-taking ceremony titled “July Revival” was held in the district today imbued with spirit of July uprising.
A video documentary in memory of the martyrs and a discussion meeting were also held at the Town Hall Tarek Memorial Auditorium this morning.
Commissioner Md. Mokhtar Ahmed was present as the chief guest at the program with Deputy Commissioner Mufidul Alam in the chair.
Superintendent of Police Kazi Akhtar ul Alam, Director of Divisional Social Services Office Mohammad Golam Mostafa, Additional Deputy Commissioner Asaduzzaman, and Sadar Upazila Nirbahi Officer Ariful Islam Prince were present as special guests.
At that time, Shaheed Sagar's father Asaduzzaman, Anti-Discrimination Student Movement Coordinator Ali Hossain, Mazaharul Islam and Al Noor Ayesh along with various leaders were present.
In the first part of the program, millions of voices joined the central ceremony of reciting the oath in the spirit of July uprising through video conference, followed by a minute of silence. As part of the programme, the national anthem was played and prayers were offered for all the martyrs including the July warriors.
In the second part, a discussion meeting and cultural program were organized on the protection of women and children in the formation of society. After the cultural program, a video documentary was shown in memory of the martyrs of the July Uprising at the initiative of the July Revolutionary Alliance. Poetry recitation, dance and music performances were performed in the cultural part.
