BGB seizes smuggled goods in Sylhet

SYLHET, July 26, 2025 (BSS)- The Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB) in separate drives in various border areas of Sylhet and Sunamganj districts seized Indian smuggled goods worth over Taka three crore.

BGB 48 Battalion Commander Lt. Col. Md Nazmul Haque said, BGB 48 Battalion’s patrol teams of some BOPs seized the goods from last Friday night to this morning, according to a BGB press release.

The BGB release said the patrol teams also seized Indian smart phone, chocolates and cows and catfish. 
The border force also seized boats illegally extracting stones from various quarries in these areas, the release added.
