Two killed in Bogura road accident

BOGURA, July 27, 2025 (BSS) - Two people were killed and three others injured in a collision between a truck and CNG-run auto rickshaw in Kundarhat area under Nandigram upazila of the district today.

The deceased were Arafat Hossain, 22, son of Shafiqul Islam of Kathom Southpara village and Hawa Begum, 45, wife of Nazrul Islam of Visha village of the upazila.

The accident took place on the Bogura-Natore highway around 11 am, when a truck collided head-on with a CNG-run auto rickshaw, leaving CNG driver Arafat and passenger Hawa Begum dead on the spot and three others injured, said Nirmal Chandra Mahanta, Office-in-Charge of Kundarhat Highway Police Station.

The injured were taken to Shaheed Ziaur Rahman Medical College Hospital.

Police seized the truck. The bodies of the deceased were sent to hospital morgue.
