HSC examinee dies from snakebite in Magura

MAGURA, July 28, 2025 (BSS) - An HSC examinee died from snakebite at Srikantpur village of Sadar upazila here.

The deceased was Shaon Sikder, 19, son of Badsha Shikder of the same area.

A snake bit Shaon near his house around 8 pm. At first, he was given local treatment. However, when his condition deteriorated, he was taken to Magura 250-bed hospital around 11.30 pm, where the on-duty doctor declared him dead. 

Magura Sadar Police Station Officer-in-Charge (OC) Md. Ayub Ali confirmed the matter.

The body was handed over to the family members, he added.
