MAGURA, Aug 5, 2025 (BSS) - A memorial and reunion event was held in Magura today in honor of the families of those martyred during the July mass uprising.

Organized by the Magura District Administration, the event took place at the District Auditorium at 10:00 am and was inaugurated by Deputy Commissioner Ohidul Islam.

The ceremony began with the unveiling of a wall magazine titled "July Magura Through Camera and Pen," featuring major headlines and news coverage from the past year related to the uprising.

A special documentary titled "Echoes of the Magura July Uprising," produced by the Magura District Council, was also screened during the programme.

Family members of the martyrs took part in the event, calling for an impartial investigation and justice for their loved ones.

Earlier in the morning, officials from the district administration, political leaders, students and citizens paid tribute at the graves of Mehedi Hasan Rabbi and Al-Amin, two martyrs of Magura during the uprising.
