District administration pays tribute to martyr Siam

BAGERHAT, Aug 5, 2025 (BSS) - The district administration today paid tribute at the grave of martyr Alif Ahmed Siam at Basbaria Kasimpur village under Dema Union in Sadar upazila of the district, marking the July Uprising Day.

Floral wreaths were placed at the grave of Alif in honor of his sacrifice.

Alif Ahmed was killed in a brutal shooting by the murderous forces of the fascist Hasina regime in Dhaka on August 5, 2024.

Deputy Commissioner Ahmed Kamrul Hasan, Superintendent of Police Md Touhidul Arif, Sadar Upazila Nirbahi Officer SM Mostafizur Rahman, Officer-in-Charge of Bagerhat Model Police Station Mahmudul Hasan, and other senior officials of the district administration paid tribute by laying wreaths at the grave of martyr Alif.

Alif Ahmed Siam was a 10th-grade science student at Dhaka Dairy Farm High School. He was known as a bright and talented student, who dreamed of becoming a pilot and travelling the world.

He participated in the 'March to Dhaka' on August 5 and was shot in the head near the foot-over bridge at the Savar Police Station bus stand.
