DHAKA, Aug 5, 2025 (BSS) - Police arrested a fugitive life-term convict from Shaheed Al Farook Road in the capital's Jatrabari area in the early hours of today.

Acting on a tip-off, a team from Jatrabari Police Station conducted a drive around 1:30 am and detained Saiful Alam Deny, 42, who had been sentenced to life imprisonment in a narcotics case. 

The court also fined him Taka 20,000 in the same verdict. He went into hiding soon after the verdict was announced.

Legal action has been taken against the arrested convict.
