Doa mahfil held in Shahjadpur marking Khaleda Zia’s 81st birthday

SHAHJADPUR, Aug 16, 2025 (BSS) – A milad and dua mahfil was held in Shahjadpur of Sirajganj yesterday to mark the 81st birthday of BNP Chairperson and former Prime Minister Begum Khaleda Zia.

Organized by Milk Vita Vice Chairman Ziauddin Ehya Khan Majlis (Babul), the programme was held at the residence of the late MP Kamruddin Ehya Khan Majlis (Sarowar).

Md. Joynal Abedin, former president of Shahjadpur Upazila Jubo Dal presided over the event. 

Among the speakers were former organizing secretary of Shahjadpur BNP Arif Uddin Arif, former president of Upazila Jubo Dal Abu Bakar Siddique, former VP of Upazila Chhatra Dal Tarikul Islam Mahmud, former GS of Shahjadpur Poura BNP K.M. Harunur Rashid Harun, Jahangir Hossain.

The speakers praised Khaleda Zia’s lifelong commitment to democracy and people’s rights, calling her a fearless leader who remained with the people even during illness.

Anwar Sadat Khan Majlis Reyaz spoke on behalf of the Khan Majlis family and prayed for the good health and long life of Begum Khaleda Zia and Acting Chairman Tarique Rahman.

Hazrat Shah Makhdum Jame Mosque imam Hafez Alhaj led the dua mahfil by offering a munajat.
