Elderly man killed in Munshiganj road accident

MUNSHIGANJ, Aug 24, 2025 (BSS) - An elderly man was killed in a road accident in front of Padma Bridge Uttar Thana on the Dhaka-Mawa expressway of the district today.

The deceased was Ishaq Madbar, 77, of Borokandi village of Zanjira upazila of Shariatpur district.

Police said the accident occurred when a private car hit Madbar, leaving him dead on the spot.

The body of the victim was handed over to his family members, said Padma Bridge Uttar Thana Officer-in-Charge Jakir Hossain.
